“A stunning regency townhouse conversion on leafy Dorset Square. The thirty eight rooms are individually designed in typical quirky Firmdale fashion, with beautiful fabrics and a quintessential English country house feel throughout. Excellent restaurant and bar. A stylish and central treat!”

Hotel Review

Created from two Regency townhouses overlooking leafy Dorset Square (which was home to Thomas Lord's first cricket ground), the Dorset Square Hotel epitomises Kit Kemp's design ethos. The thirty eight rooms are all inidivually designed and feature stunning wallpapers and fabrics and all have a fresh airy feel; go for a deluxe and you might find huge windows, high ceilings and a view over the square. There are plenty of floral motifs and amazing antique cricket memoribilia fashioned into art works - the vibe is contemporary but quintessentially English. Luxury lovers will not be disappointed. You can expect sink-into beds, sumptuous Frette linens, granite en suites and lovely complimentary toiletries by Rik Rak which have also been created by Kit Kemp. For guests' use there is a charming drawing room overlooking the square where you can sit and relax with afternoon tea, or help yourself to a tipple from the honesty bar. Downstairs The Potting Shed Bar and Restaurant is a delight. It continues the fresh design feel and offers a relaxed space with all day dining and new feature Chef's Table which will be held once every couple of months. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, whether you want a wine recommendation or simple directions! The Dorset Square ticks many boxes in terms of location and ease of getting out and about in London, but it really is a charming cocoon of a place, a sophisticated haven of peace after a frenetic days' sightseeing or shopping. Perfect for a stylish city break.
