Stay in Paris’ Latin Quarter at Hotel Dame des Arts within walking distance of many of the city’s best-loved sights. Notre Dame, the Louvre, Jardin de Luxembourg and the River Seine are all just a short walk from the hotel, while Saint-Michel metro station is just 50 metres from the door. In summer months, the hotel’s restaurant Pimpan, extends into a tucked-away courtyard garden while in winter the heated indoor terrace adds additional seating for diners as well as those keen to sample one of the bar’s cocktails. The menu is largely French with fusion twists and regular seasonal updates. Choose between the à la carte dishes or a tasting menu while, at the weekend, brunch is a popular option. The breakfast buffet offers a very good choice.

Paris’ fashion pack have a new Left Bank hang-out thanks to this mid-century marvel, which takes its style cues from French New Wave cinema.
