“An organic inn with a collection of stylish rooms set in charming Totnes. Rooms are individually styled but all are decorated with antiques and vintage finds. The walls are painted in natural tones while modern bathrooms have organic products. With a standout restaurant, this is a chic eco stay.”

Hotel Review

Rustic charm, delightful service and exceptional food continually pull in a cheery crowd to this popular, atmospheric restaurant with 9 rooms at the top of Totnes High Street. Inside the striking peach-coloured C18th building with its dark green painted window frames, there’s a bustle of attentive staff fetching freshly baked focaccia and organic dishes from the kitchen serving customers at antique wooden tables for parties of 2, 4 or more. The interior feels like an old-school French eaterie with lime-plaster walls, panelled jade-hued bar with leather topped stools, pendant lights and a daily-changing menu etched on blackboard. The business follows its own stringent set of eco-conscious No-Bull Rules incorporating locally-sourced produce and ethical values. Eclectic guest rooms are decorated with eco paint, reclaimed furniture, reworked vintage fabrics, hand crafted mattresses with organic linen and towels. In place of ugly TVs are radios. For larger parties, there’s a self-catering four-bedroom apartment across the road.
