Hotel review

Still used by the Jodhpur royal family this 19th century palace sitting in much older grounds and beautiful landscaped gardens simply oozes quality. The Palace Rooms are large, airy and elegant, and the dining room has the most sublime view across the lake. The original arched stables are now the Garden Rooms: spacious and comfortable, each with a sitting out area. Sandstone waterways and pergolas bring water and shade to the gardens. Fragrant shrubs and vast ancient trees, and local and migratory birds offer plenty to explore in the gardens. There are Marwari horses to ride into the surrounding hills, a pool surrounded by a cool shaded verandah, and the hotel has a Spa. A welcoming dream.
