The hustle and bustle of downtown Milan is a distant memory for guests who stay at Bulgari Hotel Milano. Birds chirp in the morning with the sound of gentle muzak playing in the private garden which is attached to the city’s 46,000-square-metre Botanical Garden and serenity can be found in the hotel’s wellness centre affixed with sauna, indoor pool, steam room and gym. Bulgari Hotel Milano was the first hotel opened by the Italian-fashion brand back in 2004 and since then many have popped up around the world but many loyalists will tell you this outpost remains the best because of the intimate and residential-like feeling. This is a true five-star boutique hotel.

Like all Bulgari hotels worldwide, there is one main restaurant with a menu created by 3-Michelin starred chef Niko Romito. Expect home-style Italian dishes like spaghetti pomodoro and Milanese risotto but elevated. The cocktails are excellent in the adjoining bar and perfect for aperitivo. During the summer months, there is also a pop-up pizza restaurant by renowned pizzaiolo, Pier Daniele Seu which can be enjoyed in the Il Gazebo in the evening. The location is unbeatable with high-fashion shopping, La Scala Theatre and The Duomo just 5-minutes walk on foot. The bill is unbeatable too.
