Hotel review

Entering Riad Due (Italian for ‘two’) is like stepping into another world where peace meets panache and all senses are alerted, fully engaged. From the exotic scent of pure rose essence and oud wafting through the abundant courtyard with its flourishing fig tree alive with chirping birds, to the explosion of kaleidoscopic colour in each room, it’s a sensual feast, a maximalist’s dream.

Capacious suites are individually designed in a riot of colour, fantastical in design, beautifully curated with bold contemporary art, juxtaposed prints, oversized urns and subtle lighting. Beds are generous with quality linens and bathrooms palatial.

Although Portuguese owned, the riad is overseen by the wonderful Elena, Italian doyenne of Marrakech. She joined forces with designer Yann Dobry (artistic director of El Fenn) to create a very unique guesthouse. High standards mean service has been fine-tuned with luxurious touches. Here it’s all about the details - artistic and artisanal.

Breakfast and dinner are prepared in an open stainless steel kitchen by smiling staff and served in the sanctuary of the courtyard or on the beautiful roof terrace with its green striped cushions, sculptural cacti and panoramic 360 degree vista. With the highest terrace in the medina, it would be impossible to tire of the view.

Map & Location

See what they say

Why do people love staying in your hotel?  They love the warmth of the welcome, the harmony of the colors, the attention to every detail

What is there to do in the area? To tell the truth, the area is one of the best, not only is it easily reachable by taxi, but it is right in the heart of the most elegant neighborhood of the medina, close to dar bacha and the Koranic school, as well as being in the fashion district.

What kind of breakfast do you offer?  At the riad, everything is homemade—we have a dedicated chef! Our rich breakfasts change daily, offering everything from traditional Moroccan fare to a touch of Western and savory fare that our guests love.

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Our cook's homemade dinners and lunches are tasty and well-measured without exaggerating the spices, so as to satisfy all tastes. Near us you will find the most famous restaurants (Le Jardin, Le café des Epices, Café Arabe, etc.) as well as small, highly recommended local restaurants.

Which are your most popular room types, and why? They are all popular and it is difficult to answer this question as they are all four different

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? We accept children, even though most riads don't. We offer free cribs for children under 3, and two rooms can accommodate an extra bed.
