“This new hospitality concept blends Mexican and Japanese design in a boutique hotel neighbouring Mexico City's Little Tokyo. Minimalist suites, inspired by Japanese lifestyle and local materials, have tatami mats on terrazzo stone and sliding walls. Relax in the rooftop hot tub; a chic, fusion stay.”

Ryo Kan

It may be the most perfect cultural integration of all time. Dead in the center of Mexico City—known as much for its contemporary art museums and worth-the-flight taco stands as it is its dizzying noise, traffic, and congestion—may be the most vitally calming hotel in town. Ryo Kan, a blond wood, utterly soothing new guesthouse styled as a (you guessed it) Japanese ryokan opened in February, just a ten-minute walk from the Modern Art Museum, in the city’s emerging Little Tokyo district.
