“A charming four-star, family-run country manor house just outside Bantry in West Cork. A luxury spa garden, cosy sitting rooms with crackling fireplaces, views across the bay and award winning cuisine, all make this feel like a home away from home.”

Hotel review

From the moment you turn onto the tree-lined driveway, you know you’re in for a peaceful escape. This charming country house hotel oozes character, and the warm welcome from the owners instantly makes you feel at home. Inside, it’s all about comfort with a touch of old-school charm – floral curtains, dark wood furniture, chandeliers and paintings everywhere you look. It feels lived-in, loved, and wonderfully cosy. Rooms are spacious with a large comfortable bed, big sash windows overlooking the bay, and an en-suite.

The real highlight is the Bathhouse & Spa Garden. Between the seaweed baths, wood-fired sauna, outdoor hot tub and the little relaxation pod where they serve fennel tea and fresh fruit, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The VOYA spa treatments are wonderful too – with a great range of facials, body scrubs, seaweed wraps and massages to choose from.

Dinner in the grand dining room is a culinary triumph, with a menu full of locally sourced dishes and lovely garden views. Breakfast is just as good – a generous buffet with plenty of cooked options, including the famous Clonakilty Blackpudding. Evenings are best spent in the cosy bar by the fire, drink in hand, chatting with other guests, or soaking up the quiet atmosphere. Bantry is only a few minutes’ drive away if you fancy exploring, and the whole West Cork area is breathtaking – wild coastline, rolling green hills and that unmistakable Irish charm.
