“The only thing ordinary about the Lion Inn is the name. Each of the eight rooms are beautifully presented with exposed beams and stone walls next to soft hues and knitted throws. There is an outdoor patio restaurant with seasonal menu and bar with fine wines and real ales. ”

Hotel Review

Gloucestershire has more boutique B&B's than you can shake a stick at, but The Lion Inn still fares excellently by comparison. Following a painstaking renovation, involving equal parts love and money, the outcome is a seemingly effortless shabby chic hideaway. There are five rooms and two suites all individually designed and as elegant as the next. Big beds have even bigger, cushioned headboards plus there are little sitting areas where you can enjoy a game of scrabble or cards (in place of a TV)! Other features include chandeliers, antique rocking horses and vintage murals. The sitting room is the perfect place to kick off your walking boots and enjoy a glass of Gloucestershire's own Montpellier Red, before moving on to the restaurant and tucking in to a local pheasant breast. The larger of the two suites has its own sitting room with more than enough room for a child and seeing as this property is pet friendly, the dog too! All round it is an excellent country stay for couples and families alike.
