Drive 20 minutes north from Ibiza Town and you will arrive in the little hillside village of San Miguel de Balansat, where, next to the church, you’ll find the enchanting Can Pardel. Plunge into its oasis of calm and relaxation and you’ll certainly feel far from the buzzing Ibizan nightlife. Everything about this boutique hotel shows the owners’ exceptional attention to detail, from the sunny courtyard garden with brightly-coloured bougainvillea to the shiny new swimming pool and sundeck. The five bedrooms – most with a terrace or garden access – all combine luxury with a hint of the exotic. Bed and breakfast is the norm, although dinners can be arranged on request.
