“A 5-star hotel on the slopes of Mont d'Arbois. Most of the plush rooms have balconies or terraces with stunning views. There are sushi and French restaurants, two chic bars, a cigar lounge and a wine cellar. Add in the pools and spa, and it's the complete package for a super stylish stay.”

Hotel review

A destination for the social elite, Four Seasons Resort Megeve has lured well-heeled travelers and celebrities since it opened in 2017. Service is attentive at all touchpoints and guests are greeted with professionalism and friendly banter to make their home in the French alps truly memorable. Despite its traditional chalet-style architecture, the rooms are well-appointed and contemporary in design. Large comfy beds, walk-in closets and spacious bathrooms make for a truly relaxing stay no matter what room category you choose. The larger suites have some exquisite pieces of art with equally gorgeous views from the balcony which overlooks the slopes of Mont d’Arbois. During the winter, enjoy ski-in, ski-out access, as well as great hiking trails directly from the entrance of the hotel in the summer, but why not stay on-site and indulge a little like most guests choose to do? There is a teen zone with all the best arcade games you can imagine, an animal farm with ponies and rabbits, as well as a wellness centre with indoor and outdoor pool, as well as multiple hammans and saunas. Massages are available for those who tackle the slopes.

There are multiple dining outlets and they should not be missed. Try Edmond’s for lunch, the Glass Bar for a cocktail in the evening and Kaito, a Peruvian/Japanese eatery which many Swiss cross over the border for. Brasserie Benjamin is the fine-dining restaurant on-site and despite its unassuming name is the perfect spot for a gastronomic French meal with Italian accents.

Michelle's Hot Tip: Seek out every chance to enjoy sweet creations by the award-winning pastry chef, Jonathan Chapuy. From hand-made pastries in the morning, delightful cakes in the afternoon and tasty desserts in both the Brasserie and at Kaito at night - Don’t miss it!

Four Seasons Hotel Megève, Rhône-Alpes, Fra

Four Seasons’ first mountain property in Europe sits in a secluded spot on the Mont d’Arbois side of the resort, 10 minutes’ drive from the village centre. Megève doesn’t have any true ski in/ski out hotels, but with a little poling, you could easily cover the 600m or so between the Four Seasons and the Mont d’Arbois lift on skis. On the other hand, why bother when there is a horse-drawn sleigh to whisk you there and back? The altiport, from where you can take a helicopter ski safari to Chamonix, Courmayeur or Flaine, is five minutes away by road.
