Hotel review

Istanbul townhouse in a narrow Galata back street, completely rebuilt to a high standard. Enter through a coffee shop (no signs, so note the street number 24.) Generous-sized rooms with extremely comfy mattresses and pristine linen. The street-side rooms are noisier, but the road was very quiet after shop closing time, so you can open windows safely. Bosporous-side rooms on higher floors have fine views, though the best view is from the roof-top bar and balcony, which is enclosed in winter so completely cosy, and has a 160 degree view of the water. An outstanding choice, a few minutes from the Tunel, Metro and ample eateries.
