Find yourself slap-bang between the South Harbour and lively Market Place in Helsinki’s historic quarter. It may not be a thing of beauty from the outside but Hotel Haven is exactly as its name suggests; an elegant yet cosy bolt-hole in the heart of the city. A glorious mix of old-school glamour mixed with chic Nordic style. Glistening chandeliers sit beside sleek contemporary fireplaces and sash windows cast light on cleanly designed rooms. Be sure to opt for a ‘Lux Sea View Room’ for the best views (of the harbour). Feast on creative Finnish cuisine in the excellent restaurant and sample a few whiskies from the choice list in the trendy bar. With many of Helsinki’s sights and attractions within walking distance this makes a fabulous base for exploring the city.
