Hotel Review
This fabulously traditional hotel, family run, has combined the essence of its Sardinian heritage with contemporary organic gourmet food and carefully chosen artworks. The combination works because it's done with artistic flair and impressive interior design.
Set in a timeless mountain landscape, the hotel is rambling and bohemian, with a succession of private decks, terraces and secret gardens for lounging away the time.
Rooms are relaxed and furnished with artworks, paintings, books, and collected objets. Some have fireplaces. Colourways are in earth tones and some have outside terraces or private gardens. Bathrooms and showers are reassuringly up to date.
A covered terrace restaurant has stunning mountain views, serving local Sardinian dishes with ingredients from the estate farm.
Su Gologone has everything you could want for a get-way-from-it-all escape; wine cellars, a gourmet restaurant, a spring-fed pool, a small wellness centre, a lovely garden and its own bread kitchen. Multiple activities are on offer, from biking, riding and tennis, to yoga, star-gazing and outdoor movie nights.
