This is the place to stay in Austin. With almost nightly live music events, a music themed decor and tonnes of Townes Van Zandt memorabilia. Take your pick between views of the city, lake or rooftop pool (with a half a million dollar underwater sound system). In true Austin style, all rooms come with yoga mats, boot jacks and super-sized bathrooms. The restaurant, Geraldine’s, always draws a crowd, for the food as much as the live music. This luxury hotel has somehow managed to get their finger right on the pulse of this hip up and coming town- a rare feat!
