“Views abound at this stylish, family-run agriturismo in the island’s rural centre, whether you’re gazing from your bedroom’s picture window, swimming in the infinity pool or dining al fresco on authentic Sardinian food.”

Hotel review

Nature-loving couples and families will feel entirely at home at this charming property on a remote hillside near the small town of Gergei. Service is friendly but informal, with visitors made to feel more like the Ollanu’s personal guests than paying customers. There’s a prevailingly earthy palette in the bedrooms, each of which are unique – but all have walk-in showers and organic toiletries in the bathrooms. The deluxe Midwife Room is especially lovely, with an inviting window seat and a mezzanine level for any accompanying children.

The home-cooked food is a real highlight here, the dining room’s short menu offering uniquely Sardinian dishes such as culurgiones (stuffed pasta) and seadas (cheese and honey parcels). In the local dialect Is Perdas means ‘the stones’, and a replica of one of the island’s Bronze Age nuraghe (conical stone structure) is one of the property’s more unusual features. Those looking for more conventional holiday pursuits can choose from a scenically-set outdoor pool, a subterranean spa or an endless array of soul-stirring walks.
