Hotel Review

Le Sodole ticks many boxes for those planning to visit Tuscany. Great access to many different areas (Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano...) including the beach (it's less than an hour to Viareggio), and great onsite facilities for those who want a relaxing day amid the rolling Italian countryside. The property is made up of twelve individually designed apartments spread amongst two 18th century buildings, which can sleep between two and six. The interiors have been thoughtfully put together and are an elegant mix of period features and classic style but with a modern feel. Each unit comes with a well equipped kitchen, but for those who don't want to self cater, breakfast can be ordered and there is a restaurant on site for lunches and dinner. The facilities won't disappoint either. There's a large outdoor pool set in the extensive grounds, plus a small wellness area with sauna, steam shower, gym and treatment rooms. But for some the icing on the cake is the practice golf range and 9 hole putting green. There's clubs to rent and a resident professional for private or group lessons. If golf's not your thing then this is great walking and cycling country (you can rent bikes from reception) or you can simply laze by the pool with a good book. Le Sodole is the ideal option for those who want the flexibility that comes with self-catering, but also want the services of a resort.
