Fans of the original Langham hotel in London can expect that classic old-school hospitality here. Fifth Avenue's golden-crowned tower sits between Bryant Park and the Empire State Building, offering some of NYC's most spacious rooms - genuinely huge by Manhattan standards. Modern artworks decorate the walls, two massive oil paintings gracing the reception. The mattresses and pillows are fantastic, and deep baths stocked with Diptyque products feel properly spoiling. One issue, the windows are dirty. Disappointing when views should be a highlight. 

Staff are notably professional and warm - doormen welcoming, front desk smooth, breakfast room staff remembering your coffee order after one morning. Club level is entirely worth the upgrade for multiple daily food and drink offerings, including booze. Michelin-starred Ai Fiori delivers excellent dining, with Bar Fiori, Maison Kayser, and secret rooftop Sky Terrace rounding out the options. The 24-hour gym is well-equipped. Walking distance to subways for easy uptown/downtown access - call the most famous address in the world home, for as long as funds allow.
