Hotel Review

If you like small, cosy boutique hotels with plenty of local flavour, then look no further than Barcelona’s new Antiga Casa Buenavista. The building, once home to the lively “Buenavista” restaurant that used to show patrons a rollicking good time back in the roaring twenties, has been meticulously renovated to maintain its original designfeatures, but combined with all the mod cons the contemporary traveller needs. The restaurant is back, serving classic Catalan grandma recipes, and these days there are two penthouse suites and a dreamy pool on the rooftop. The neighbourhood, which some might describe as sketchy (keep an eye on your valuables at night!), is brimming with late-night bars and trendy restaurants. With only 43 rooms, staff make guests feel personally welcome from the second they arrive.
