Why do people love staying in your hotel? Guests return time and time again to Blanch House due to the warm and friendly welcome they receive, at their ‘home from home’ with that little bit of added luxury. And, with our service ethos that ‘nothing is too much trouble for our guests’ they know they are going to be looked after as much or as little as they would like during their stay.
What is there to do in the area or on site? Blanch House is set in the bohemian Kemp Town area of Brighton, just a stone’s throw from the Regency seafront where a whole host of water-based activities such as kayaking and paddle-boarding are available, as well as simply choosing a spot on the beach to relax on in the Summer. We are just a few minutes walk to Brighton’s theatres, concert halls, restaurants, pubs, bars and shops. On site massages and holistic therapies are available for our guests.
What kind of breakfast do you offer? We offer a full a la carte cooked breakfast made to order where we invite guests to choose from a variety of options such as our Full English Breakfast to homemade pancakes with maple syrup. There is also a continental breakfast available with homemade muesli, jams and hot pastries. All of our breakfasts are made using a high standard of locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Private Dining is also available for parties of 12-40 people served in our elegant function room The Belle Epoque Suite. For hotel guests we have our 'Lite Bites’ Menu from which they can order any time and includes traditional seaside snacks such as ‘The Sussex Smokie’ and Cream Teas, amongst other options. We would also be delighted to assist guests with our recommendations of restaurants in Brighton whichever cuisine they should require.
Which are your most popular room types, and why? Our most popular room types are our Feature Double Rooms as each one is unique in character and elegant décor and our largest room sizes also with sizeable bathrooms.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? This hotel is not really suitable for families with children, although exceptions at the management’s discretion are made in some instances and cots and extra beds are available.
What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? We’d be delighted to welcome you for a stay with us in what is Brighton’s original Boutique Hotel and can promise a unique experience for you in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Do come and see us!
