Hotel Review

An institution of legendary status. No list of Fort Cochin's top hotels is complete without the inclusion of Brunton Boatyard. Given the same individual treatment as all CGH Earth properties its airy colonial proportions and white washed walls, not to mention the enviable positioning overlooking the harbour, ticks all the boxes. Expansive rooms hark back to a bygone age: rustic terracotta tiles are complimented by the crisp white linens and blue accents. All rooms feature sea views but we would recommend opting for a Deluxe Doubles for their private balconies. The pool is a treat - kicking back with a good book you can watch the ships as they to and fro from this still functioning harbour town. Whilst the hotel is within walking distance from many of Fort Cochin's attractions, excellent on sight dining options mean you will be hard pressed to leave! Dine below the 19th century rafters in The History restaurant, overseen by head chef Jerry Mathew and popular for its excellent multi-cuisine menu and locally sourced ingredients. The Terrace Grill focusses on fish dishes (you can see the fishermen hauling their catch of the day right below!) whilst The Quadrangle and Armoury provide afternoon tea and sundowners respectively. An absolute delight Brunton Boatyard will make your stay in Cochin one to remember.
