Hotel Review

With its pale pink and blue colour scheme, pots of flowers, wrought-iron balconies and sunny café-terrace, the Byron is immediately attractive, and it lives up to its promise. Owner Aris Babaioannou offers above-average service and is a mine of practical advice about what to see and do locally. Rooms are on the small side, but high windows with views over tiers of red-tiled roofs to the harbour and the mirror-calm Gulf of Navplio compensate; try for one of the rooms with a tiny private balcony.

Nauplia was the first capital of modern Greece, liberated almost 200 years ago from the Osmanic Empire. In the middle of its historical centre, at the foot of Citadel Hill with excellent view on Nauplia and the sea, you will find our Hotel Byron in a carefully restored ancient building.
