“This permanent lodge on the banks of the Luangwa offers game viewing on your doorstep. Six thatched en suite rondavel rooms with river views. Spot the nearby waterhole from the bar and watch elephants crossing the river daily. An excellent spot for those who prefer solid walls around them. ”

Hotel review

Located on a wide bend in the Luangwa river, Nsefu remains much the same as the old 'hunting lodge' it was set up as so long ago. Each room is a thatched rondavel with ensuite bathrooms and good views over the river and a terraced area with game grazing. The bar area, hidden beside a huge extinct termite mound, overlooks a waterhole where game, especially leopard, can be seen at night. Excellent guiding on walks, with day and night drives on offer, as in all Robin Pope camps – of which this is one.
