Hotel Overview

“The only 5-star hotel in the Stubai Valley can be found at Hotel Jagdhof. A family run business and member of the Relais & Chateaux Group, successfully allures guests from neighbourhing countries like Switzerland and Germany thanks to the charismatic and friendly owners, Christina and Armin Pfurtscheller.

Located about 20 minutes' drive from Innsbruck, Hotel Jagdhof offers a high-end luxury experience in a slightly outdated rustic interior with friendly staff running the show. Good old-fashioned hospitality shines through with excellent service from the staff in the restaurant. If you enjoy attentive service - Imagine having your own personal butler remember how you want your morning coffee before you even sit down to the hearty breakfast on offer– hospitality at its best by a well-trained group of servers.

The Stubai Valley offers an array of family-adventures from hiking, touring waterfalls and tree-houses, as well as exploring the ice grotto at Stubai Glacier, so as you can imagine, the 3000 sqm wellness centre, known as the Spa Chalet at Hotel Jagdhof is very much appreciated. From the indoor and outdoor pool, serenity rooms overlooking the Stubai Valley, tea lounges and multiple saunas (20 relaxation and sauna experiences on offer, including indoor Jacuzzi), it can be difficult to pry yourself from one of the lounge chairs in the 5000sqm garden.

The hotel has a lot on offer, including excellent dining experiences which come with the half-board – including six or seven-course taster dinner every day. From fabulous Austrian treats using very local ingredients (like the Venison from the family-farm), it is no wonder Chef Boris Meyer has 15 points by Gault & Millau. Other restaurants include Hubertus Stube, fondue gondola and afternoon tea. For wine-lovers, you really must ask to speak to the sommelier and tour or even eat dinner in the wine grotto. With more than 20,000 bottles of wine, you are spoiled for choice.”
