A recent refurbishment has worked wonders at The Litton, a classy hotel in rural Somerset. Situated in the sleepy village of Litton, the hotel focuses on doing the simple things well, starting with its rooms. Stylishly decorated with well chosen artwork and exposed brick walls, the comfortable rooms find a great balance between chic and elegant. Downstairs, the Litton's restaurant is focused on producing delicious British cuisine, with the menu nodding to old favourites. In the oldest part of the pub, which dates back to 1420, the whiskey bar is certainly an atmospheric place to wile away a few hours. With the Mendip Hills on the doorstep, it's great for exploring the abundant beauty of rural Somerset.
