“A beautiful Five Star hotel crafted by local architects from the rock face in Dubrovnik. Designer rooms, suites, and villas are contemporary with sea facing balconies, some with private hot tubs. Excellent restaurant, pool, spa, private rocky beach, and lots of privacy. Romantic luxury.”

Hotel review

Reopened in 2025 following a two-year renovation, this super-slick hideaway lies a 15-minute walk from Dubrovnik's medieval-walled old town. Built into a seaward slope, its 53 light-filled rooms all have terraces with glistening Adriatic views.

Brazilian architect Arthur Casas created the Mediterranean-style minimalist interiors, with colours and textures inspired by Dalmatian limestone and Dubrovnik's terracotta rooftops. Hip modernist designer furniture by Gio Ponti and Eileen Grey, and paintings and wall-tapestries by Yugoslav artists, recall the building's 1960's beginnings.

A la carte breakfast is served on a sea-view terrace shaded by fragrant pines, and there's a rooftop bar for sunset cocktails. Guests bathe at the spa's indoor sea-view pool, or on a series of rock-and-stone terraces, shaded by parasols and affording easy access into the sea.

A low-profile luxury retreat, perfect for combining cultural sightseeing, 21st-century comfort and beach time.
