Hotel Review

A fantastic country retreat offering a host of activities. This hotel and cooking school is located within a grade II-listed stone manor house with additional barns and a 140-acre estate. Some of the courses on offer include bread making, advanced fish cooking, preserving and pickling, and even a specialist crustacean course. A cosy bar, 'The Baa' serving sophisticated cocktails and fine wines is also on the estate for guests to enjoy. The bedrooms and surrounding cottages are smartly furnished and feature original oak beams. The large and luxurious bedrooms feel relaxed and calming. Additionally, there are a variety of country pursuits that can be arranged through the hotel, including cycle rides, forest walks and clay pigeon shooting.

Thyme hotel, Gloucestershire, Cotswolds: review

It’s pleasingly stylish and beautifully set in one of the most appealing parts of the Cotswolds. It comprises a choice of cottage and farmhouse hotel accommodation – some of which can be separately rented by groups – along with a cookery school and pub.
