About Pinamar

This coastal town is renowned for its hospitality towards tourists and, in fact, was practically built for it! The area used to be dominated by wild sand dunes, however, the Argentinian government transformed the landscape by planting thousands of pine trees and constructing this picturesque town amidst them. It’s no wonder then that this is an extremely popular getaway for many in the nearby Buenos Aires. Visit to stroll down the long beach and take a dip in the sea, and maybe also pop into one of the great bars that line it! We’ve selected the best places to stay in Pinamar to make the most of all there is on offer.

Summer for Pinamar is roughly between November and April when temperatures don’t stray far from the early twenties (celcius). Be warned, Winter gets much cooler and the town quietens down considerably.

What not to miss:

  • Playa De Pinamar is the popular main beach that fronts the town. Flat sands, warm sea and friendly locals make this a great place to while away a day.

  • Visit Pinta Restobar for a drink at the end of the day. A lively atmosphere and a pool table make this a great place to unwind.

  • Pinamar Tennis Club is set slightly back from the beach but is a great place for all the family. Child friendly and great fun.

The best places to stay in Pinamar will get very busy during the peak summer season. So if you want to guarantee a room, do yourself a favour and plan well ahead.

Close to the beach

  • Amura Suites offers chic, modern suites within a stone’s throw of the beach. But if you simply can’t wait to cool off, there’s also a rooftop pool! If it’s a tan you’re after, fear not, the hotel reserves sun loungers on the beach. A great place for couples.
