Hotels in the Peak District with a Swimming Pool

Our recommendations for hotels in the Peak District with a swimming pool are limited by the fact that there aren’t that many hotels in the Peak District hotels with pools. The Peak District has its elegant spa towns like Buxton, Matlock and Matlock Bath, and former spa towns like Baslow, so it’s surprising that it has so few modern spa hotels.But maybe hotels in these towns don’t need their own spa because the town’s facilities are one of the reasons people visit. Or it might just be that many of our favourite hotels in the Peak District have been converted from elegant old manor houses or grand farmhouses, and there’s not really any space for an indoor pool… and possibly not the weather forecast for an outdoor one! Whatever the reason, now we’re aware of a gap in our recommendations we’re on the hunt!

For a Swimming Pool and a spa

Losehill House doesn’t just have a heated, indoor pool, perfect for the location, it also has a fantastic Thalgo spa, with panoramic views over the Winhill and Hope Valleys. It also has 23 elegant rooms and suites, with plenty of natural light and pale-coloured, contemporary decor. And many of the rooms have the same soothing countryside views as the pool and spa. Losehill House also has an excellent restaurant and peaceful gardens, making it the perfect relaxing escape. It’s also ideal for walkers, who’ll probably really appreciate the spa after a few days in the dales.
