Guests keep coming back to this charming 18-room hotel, which has been in the same family for three generations. Built in typical island style, with sweeping arches, cross-vaulted ceilings and cheerful majolica-tiled floors, it is spread over five gently terraced floors inching towards the sea. Rooms are light and sunny with blue tiles and a Mediterranean feel; most have fabulous views. The pale decoration throughout looks fresh after a recent refurbishment, and is complemented by the tasteful furnishings. Set in a tranquil garden of deliciously scented mimosa, almond and citrus trees, the pool is never crowded as it’s exclusively for use by hotel guests and here at the bar, delicious light lunches are served. Service is friendly and personal but never intrusive.
