Housed in a beautiful 19th century Queensland townhouse, this boutique hotel in the hip suburb of New Farm has both charm and luxury in equal measures to set it apart from the city’s other accommodation options. Nine large and spacious ensuite rooms are set around tropical gardens and a courtyard, with views out to the river to ensure a tranquil stay. Relax up on the rooftop bar with a cocktail after taking in the city’s sights (the centre is only minutes away) before a spa treatment or a bite to eat in The Balfour Kitchen, which specialises in fresh seasonal produce. Children aren’t allowed, making it the perfect choice for business stays or a romantic getaway.
