Beachborough Country House is a charming small B&B located on the edge of the national park. Owner managed, the house is filled with antiques and family heirlooms giving is a homely and welcoming feel. With just three rooms this is a great option to rent out in its entirety.

For the walks

Tarr Farm Inn is another property located inside the national park itself making it an ideal base for ramblers. With charmingly simple and traditional interiors and a lovely small restaurant, this is an intimate and homely stay.
The Old Rectory Hotel is a small relaxed hotel boasting a secluded spot surrounded by National Trust land. The walking options, therefore, are endless and unsurprisingly scenic. What really makes this property though are the owners, whose attentive hospitality makes this a very welcoming stay.

For an inn

The Crown is a charming 17th-century former coaching inn. The surprisingly grand rooms are decorated with antique pieces like Empire style armchairs, dark woods and ornate fabrics. The restaurant, serving real ales and traditional pub grub is a real highlight.
The Rising Sun offers a picturesque setting overlooking Lynmouth harbour. The 14th-century thatched building offers cosy traditional, rooms. The restaurant with its wood-burning stove, which serves classic British pub fare, is the perfect spot to return to after a day spent outdoors.

For a boutique

The Lodge at Loyton is a property that exudes class and charm. Lovely boutique rooms mix traditional and contemporary styles, delicious food in the restaurant and beautiful grounds all come together to create a perfect a rural retreat.

For foodies

The Ginger Peanut is an excellent restaurant and bar with five boutique and elegant rooms, each with smart en suite shower room and all with access to a complimentary guest pantry. The restaurant is run by award-winning chef Peter Mundy and serves dishes from the finest local produce. A superb find close to Exmoor.
Kentisbury Grange is a picturesque converted manor house set on the edge of the national park. Interiors are chic and contemporary and rooms boast luxuries such as roll-top baths. However, the restaurant is the real draw where superb dishes are crafted using local produce.
