“One of Jaipur's best boutique offerings provides stunning accommodation at a very attractive price. Their attention to detail is key. Hotel Review

Jaipur is known for its textiles and handiwork and 28 Kothi is an excellent advocate for this: you will want to buy almost all of the interiors and furnishings. A blend of retro-vintage with traditional Indian craftsmanship its Jaipur based owners have an eye for design. Enter through an unobtrusive wooden door into walled garden filled with low-slung charpoys and the smell of incense. Downstairs there is a sunny sitting room with a polished wood sofa set and eye catching pink velvet and black and white ikat cushions. Next door there is a well-stocked library, with jungle murals inspired by Rajasthani palm painting. Of the four rooms our favourite is The Suite, which features a huge bathtub, walk in shower and complimentary Kama products. The only downside would be the beautiful yet bijoux bed – which seems small given the size of the room. Whilst this is a stunning property it is very much a 'homestay'. Do not expect the same services you would at a hotel. However for many, that is the charm of it. Located in the quiet yet central Civil Lines area you are perfectly based for exploring town and there are plenty of good restaurants moments away. That said tasty Indian morsels are provided throughout the day and a breakfast of fresh fruits and juices, muesli and yoghurt, and eggs to order is included in the price. No spa but in room massages and private yoga lessons can be arranged. A great little hidey-hole in bustling Jaipur.
