Hotel Review

The Halkin, run by the luxury hotel group COMO, prides itself on being one of the first truly design led boutique hotels in London, and remains true to those roots today. Understated luxury is what springs to mind when assessing the merits of The Halkin. Set in what was once a car park, The Halkin is located in a new build Belgravia townhouse (which was cleverly constructed to blend with surrounding period properties), with sleek contemporary interiors. Curved corridors, statement pieces of furniture and sculpture in the common areas, and beautifully finished rooms. Here the vibe is quiet and sophisticated, but certainly not stuffy. Rooms are spacious with large comfortable beds, beautiful wooden veenered walls and cupboards and cool neutral shades throughout. Some call this minimalist, but really it's much warmer than that. Bathrooms are all marble with huge bath tubs, and separate showers, plus really lovely thick towels. For the health conscious there's a gym in the basement and for the business traveller, you'll find all you need in terms of computers, printing facilities etc on site too. The Halkin ticks all the right boxes whether you're here for business or leisure – perfectly located for both and with a chilled out vibe that's welcoming to all.
