Attentive from the moment you arrive, staff will park your car and deliver suitcases to your room - where a chilled bottle of champagne awaits. This discreet hotel stands out for its urban cool. The former Jesuit monastery with vast double olive press and 365 windows, overlooks its own vineyard and incorporates a fashionable U Bar, 3/65 Restaurant (named after the tally of windows) and tranquil spa. From the black stair and corridor runners to the gold leafed ceilings, this 23-suite hotel oozes understated chic. Rooms are heaven to hang out in - well appointed and spacious with generous beds, desks and armchair seating. Guests are treated to subtle details such as straw hats, flip flops, umbrellas and can choose from an extensive DVD library and menu of bed linen, mattress toppers, pillow and duvet variations to encourage sleeping "on a cloud." Food is both innovative and delicious.
