“The Grande Dame of Berlin's hotels. Large, luxurious and sophisticated rooms with smart fabrics and elegant furniture. Fantastic spa, restaurant and conference facilities for both business and leisure guests. A hotel that caters to every comfort in excess and in style. ”

Hotel review

There is no other hotel in Berlin that rivals the iconic Adlon Kempinski. Outstanding views of the Brandenburg gate draw guests to this historical hotel and with almost 400 rooms, staff do show their exasperation at the foot traffic so don’t expect to be remembered by name but there are other perks. Once in your room or suite (with views of the Brandenburg Gate if you are lucky), you will feel at home if you like traditional European furnishings like wooden cabinets, royal rugs and thick curtains to block out the afternoon sun. The rooms are spacious despite showing some wear and tear, but the newly opened and revamped wellness space keeps the legendary 1900 property modern. An urban retreat with a small gym, large indoor pool, multiple steam rooms and saunas is perfect to escape the hustle outside but more importantly friendly staff make it worth a haven from the crowds. The hotel’s 2-Michelin starred restaurant Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer sees Berlin native Jonas Zörner return home with fresh ideas and his contemporary menu pairs excellently with a knowledgeable sommelier and team. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and worth getting out of bed for.
