The George Inn is a traditional Cotswolds pub set in the picturesque village of Barford St Michael, a well-placed base for exploring honey stone towns, countryside walks and local attractions. The pub is also a short drive from social hubs and farm shops such as Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford Organic. The pub’s architecture retains classic inn features - low beams, stone walls and open fireplaces - balanced by a clean, modern decorative scheme that keeps spaces light and unfussy.

Nine en-suite bedrooms are simply but thoughtfully designed, all of them boasting underfloor heating, flat screen TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. Above the pub three rooms are styled traditionally, with exposed wooden beams and antique furnishings (two with roll top baths). The remaining six Garden rooms are bright, comfortable and dog friendly.

The pub’s bar and dining room form the social heart of the property. The latter is spacious, with large folding doors opening onto the pub’s garden. Seasonal British dishes are served with an emphasis on local produce, alongside well-kept ales and a serious wine collection. Breakfasts here are hearty and generous, while the staff are professional and welcoming, contributing to a relaxed, well-run atmosphere. The pub also offers a private room ideal for sporting events, parties, private lunches and meetings.
