“A central hotel with elegantly designed modern interiors permeated with warm tones of gold, oak and walnut. Offering a wide range of facilities from technological to wellness. Boasting a stunning rooftop cocktail bar, restaurant, and private dining. A luxurious and well-positioned city pad.”

Hotel review

City-smart and softly opulent, Almanac is where the beautiful people decompress. Australian, British and American accents hum around the rooftop, set above Barcelona’s elegant Gran Via in L’Eixample. Fashionable festival-goers, families, and design mavens appreciate the fusion of heritage architecture and marble-clad modernism.

Suites are designed for how people actually travel now. Multi-bedroom options suit groups (the vast Grand Penthouse sleeps eight—ideal for Primavera Sound), while terrace suites boast private decks and fire pits for soaking in skyline views. Selected suites unlock extras: in-room check-in, free airport transfers, a personalised welcome tray, and a free mini-bar. All rooms feature jazzy tech and sleek Ibizan bathrooms—a pleasure to lather up in.

Up on the roof by the (small, but appreciated) pool, Azimuth bar takes its cues from the stars, with zodiac-inspired cocktails and a poetic concept: architecture as celestial map. Spot the Sagrada Família and Barcelona Cathedral through the provided binoculars.

Breakfast is plentiful yet light: chia pots, porridge, and à la carte eggs served in cool, marble-lined surrounds. By lunch, you’ll find yourself drifting back to the indulgent bar menu—crispy chicken fingers, guac and chips, and gloriously rich club sandwiches.

Taking a break from the sun, the dedicated art floor invites slow wandering through five rooms, each showcasing a different artist. Downstairs, a well-equipped gym and sauna provide balance. Whether you’re festival-wrecked or just carrying too much Balenciaga, staff are unfailingly proactive: flagging cabs, hauling backpacks, and somehow always remembering your name.
