Hotel Review

A friendly welcome is guaranteed for all guests staying at this lovely agroturismo, which is run by the Planells family. The eight rooms and suites are all fully air-conditioned and simply decorated, with white walls and golden brown wooden beams. It is a truly relaxing and tranquil place, where nothing seems too much trouble for the charming owners, who will arrange excursions to Formentera, as well as massages, horse rides and boat rental. Back at Can Planells, there are bikes to hire, a pool to swim in and a garden with orchards for that all important relaxation. Breakfast is usually al fresco, with home-grown oranges and avocados, and the hotel will happily recommend and book nearby restaurants for supper.

"The house - swathed in bougainvillea - fronts on to a landscaped garden, with a swimming pool and sun-trap terrace off to one side. Lazy afternoons here are scented with orange blossom."
