The Firriato wine resorts are unrivalled in their simple yet elegant approach to Sicilian hospitality. Located on an ancient palmento, with breathtaking views of Mount Etna, Cavanera Etnea Resort still operates a vineyard and wine press, offering guests an authentic Sicilian wine experience.
Rooms at the resort are chic and unfussy; the black volcanic tiles are a wonderful touch, bringing the beautiful natural setting inside. At 10 rooms the resort feels intimate; the hotel's vineyard cocoons the main building and the large outdoor pool, adding a secluded feel to the grounds. Guests can also benefit from the use of nearby Shalai hotel's spa during their stay.
The hotel's wine-related programme is, of course, one of the highlights of the resort; guests can choose between tours of the vineyard, a trip to the winery and a wine tasting. The hotel's wine bar offers an endless selection of fine wines, making this hotel a wine lover's paradise. While there is no on-site restaurant, the attentive staff will be happy to provide restaurant recommendations.
