The Haus St Benedikt is primarily the home of young novices in training to become Benedictine monks. Being short of new apprentices, they have converted some of the rooms for the likes of you and me. A religious atmosphere pervades but it is entirely benevolent and welcoming. The bedrooms are large, minimalist, a touch ascetic but with all modern comforts (including WiFi) and immaculately clean. Breakfast is self service and taken communally with the monks, who are a jolly and friendly lot, always ready to help. Stay here and you'll discover a haven of calm but only two minutes from the hurly burly of Salzburg’s tourist attractions.
