“A chic modern hotel located slap-bang in the heart of the city. Industrial-chic rooms and suites have dark wood floors and stylish bathrooms. There's a buzzy restaurant and bar area which occasionally hosts live music. A central and cool spot for a weekend away in Amsterdam.”

Hotel Review

Although set in Amsterdam’s centre, guests don’t feel like tourists at trendy Hotel V Nesplein. It offers a taste of local life thanks to its buzzing all-day restaurant, The Lobby, which attracts just as many residents as it does visitors. The Lobby is at the heart, with its reading room and candle-lit tables offering a cosy refuge during the winter months, or outdoor terrace making for a great cocktail pitstop in the summer. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and feature an array of modern, urban design elements. Think a chic light that spells ‘LIVE,’ butterfly chairs, mustard-yellow wall paper and a Nespresso coffee machine. Staff are young, warm and bursting with savvy local knowledge. It’s a great place for friends or couples looking to hangout alongside Amsterdam’s cool crowd, then enjoy a restful night’s sleep thanks to its location on a quiet side street.

See What They Say

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Number one is probably the design. We are not your typical “could be any country/city/town” hotel, we put a lot of emphasis on how a room looks and feels, because that’s what we also like, and so that’s the kind of guest that we attract. And from what our reviews say, number two would be the friendly staff and helpful advice. What is there to do in the area? Hotel V Nesplein is smack-dab in the centre of Amsterdam, so the whole city is at your fingertips. Think: museums, fine dining, shopping, canal boat trips, or just walking through the canal district. What kind of breakfast do you offer? Hotel guests enjoy breakfast in our ground-floor restaurant The Lobby Nesplein. They can choose from a number of breakfast items on our menu, such as pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, Eggs Benedict (a favorite), yoghurt, croissants, or French toast. The restaurant is also open to the public during breakfast hours, so it is a popular breakfast and brunch place for locals as well. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Both of those are our specialty! : ) After breakfast, we also offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu, as well as usual bar snacks if you are just looking for a drink and a bite. The Lobby Nesplein has made a name for itself by offering friendly service (sometimes hard to find in Amsterdam!), quality food, and great prices (3 course meal for 36 euro). If you prefer dining further away from “home”, then our reception staff is always ready to recommend some of their own personal favorite places to wine & dine in the city. That’s basically our guiding principle: “Let us show you OUR Amsterdam.” Which are your most popular room types, and why? No rooms in particular. But the suites are always nice because of the spaciousness. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? We provide baby chairs for breakfast, and baby cots for rooms. Older children can have their own bed (for a small fee), and these are most comfortably suited for our Superior rooms or Suites. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Hotel V is a Dutch company through and through. We were born in Amsterdam and raised here, and hospitality runs in our veins (since the 60’s!).

Hotel V Nesplein

A former office block that’s had a funky makeover, Hotel V Nesplein is relaxedly hip, and in the heart of the city — on a street that is a focus of Amsterdam’s alternative theatre scene. Rooms and public areas feature zany Dutch design; there’s a good, affordable restaurant, with a popular terrace alongside.
