Hotel Review

Set in idyllic quintessential rolling countryside, fringed with woodland against a backdrop of undulating hills, this spot couldn’t be a more delightful place to unwind and fully immerse in nature. Heavenly hostess Frankie has created a truly magical escape, putting a lot of thoughtful and practical details into each space, from candles, cushions and flowers to OS maps and USB sockets. A warm, informal and spirited character makes her a joy to chat to - if she’s not busy fixing a fence, feeding the chickens, scaling a ladder to prune wisteria or mowing the grass. Guests can choose to stay in the 15th century farmhouse; the “Cloud House” - a colourfully decorated yurt; the “Horse Box” - a skilfully converted vintage Bedford TK horsebox; or charming “Duck Hut” overlooking a vast open meadow. The “Woodshed” serves as overflow to the other retreats. Each space offers privacy and seclusion with separate aesthetically hand crafted showers/loos, cooking facilities and outdoor seating and eating. Wood burners help create a cosy atmosphere in winter. There are countless walks straight from your door.
