Photo of Suttle Lodge

“A modern and unique boathouse lodge by Mighty Union on Suttle Lake. Simple paired back rooms offer summer camp-chic interiors and wonderful views. The main draw (aside from location) is the wonderfully creative Boathouse restaurant by heavyweight chef Joshua McFadden, nothing will disappoint.”

Hotel Review

If you are looking for a spot to get away from it all, but can't bear the ideal of sub-par food and drinks- this is the spot for you! Sitting on the shores of Shuttle Lake, this functioning boathouse has a secret weapon- a restaurant more likely to be found in central Portland than Deschutes National Forest. The concept is simple, keep things simple. They take camp food, usually something that makes our skin crawl, and turn it into something beautiful and original. Paired with this you will find a fantastic cocktail bar by mixologist Sean Hoard. What is not to love; fresh air, fishing, forest trails and a Negroni that will knock your socks off. The rooms are simple, a place to lay your head at night, as it should be in such a fabulous location.

"There are fish sandwiches, and then there is the fish and chips sandwich at the Boathouse, an all-day counter service spot tucked into an actual former boathouse at the Suttle Lodge"
