If you want to live and not just visit Berlin’s rich history, book a night in Telegraphenamt Berlin. Once the old 1910 Telegraph Office, the decor takes its cue from history with many of the old machinery still downstairs for guests to admire, furnishings to replicate the utilitarian industry years in Berlin and lifts resembling a thrilling theme park ride that take guests up to their rooms.
There are 97 rooms, suites and duplexes which start from 21 m² to 140 m². All of the rooms have a lot of character with bare brick walls and high ceilings which make the room feel rather large. If you can upgrade yourself, take a duplex and wake up with views of the city, including the Berlin TV tower where TV personality Tim Raue’s new restaurant Sphere sits. Hotel guests have exclusive access to a Member’s Only Gym which includes a unisex sauna room. Two restaurants - ROOT Bistro serving contemporary Japanese food and Dieselhaus offering classic Berlin-er German cuisine with a never ending supply of the best Bavarian beer plus there's a nice cocktail bar which will no-doubt be an instagrammers dream location when they catch wind of this place.
