Photo of The Dorchester

“Iconic hotel whose signature is traditional British luxury and service that’s out of this world. Ritzy-yet-comfortable rooms, Italian marble bathrooms and opulent central lounge that’s a riot of gilt, fabric, statues and chandeliers. The place to go to be treated like royalty.”

Hotel Review

Long a magnet for the rich, famous and royal, The Dorchester treats every customer like a king, even if they can’t afford to shop in the lobby’s Chopard concession. Its ritzy-yet-comfortable rooms and suites, many with splendid views of Hyde Park, are models of understated luxury, adorned with elegant drapery and recherché ornaments. Bedrooms decorated in neutral colours, with firm beds and crisp linens, are grand oases of calm. In-room accoutrements include coffee machines, chocolates on nightstands and giant Bang & Olufsen televisions that swivel to meet your gaze. Gleaming Italian marble bathrooms have luxurious deep baths, glass-panelled walk-in showers and mirror-mounted TVs. Breakfast or tea in The Promenade lounge is a sumptuous experience, where tail-coated waiters bustle about as diners take in the room’s over-the-top décor. Attention to detail is second to none in a hotel whose signature is traditional and formal without being stuffy. The grand dame of London hotels, The Dorchester is an experience to savour at least once in your life. Ideal for a special birthday or occasion.
