Hotel Review

Built by the Rothschild family and sporting very distinctive Neo-Tudor architecture including some fantastically fancifully patterned brick chimneys, the Grade II-listed former coaching inn situated at the gates of Waddesdon Manor makes for a delightful country escape. The restaurant and bar sport a slick, spacious and smart style, with pale pink walls, antique-style lighting, grey fabric chairs and a cosy snug. The food is equally impressive, and some of the tasty dishes feature rather unusual combinations, such as mussels with chorizo. Guest rooms are rather more traditional, vary in size and look, and are situated in the main building, the coach house and courtyard. They are comfortable, neutral in style, painted in pale, earthy colours, and furnished with antique or antique-style furniture.
