“Charming 200-year-old village pub with contemporary rooms. Exposed brick walls, wood floors and mood lighting create an authentic ambience in the lively restaurant. Fresh, compact wood-panelled rooms playfully combine vintage furniture with colourful prints. Laid-back country retreat with good grub.”

See What They Say

Recently renovated, this restaurant with rooms is now a "chic bolthole" with "fine furnishings". The bedrooms are "delightful and stylishly decorated, whilst the restaurant's menus "evolve with the seasons" and are "as fresh as they are imaginative"; "the elegant 21st Century styling is exceptional". Hidden away in the Alkham Valley it feels rural, with footpaths that "lead off to rolling downland" and "lofty cliffs" despite Dover and it's vibrant port being so close at hand.
