“Standing out from the crowd with its distinctive mural façade, the ethos of this family-run King’s Cross hotel is to offer a departure from typical corporate hospitality and welcome a more whimsical approach for guests. Ideally located for business people and those who like a properly urban base.”

Hotel Review

Tapping into the city’s colourful history, The Megaro integrates design, fashion, cinematography and music that very much reference quintessential London from different eras. The ’Minimix” reception area is designed with a hint of ‘steam punk’ with a bar. There’s popcorn and jellybeans available on tap. The double-storey Eatery serving classic Euro-British staples has an industrial vibe with bare copper pipes and exposed plaster walls while downstairs the cavernous underground Megaro Bar morphs into a speakeasy-style music venue with different musical acts during and on weekends. Individually designed rooms are grouped into various themes: “Britannia Rose” which is ultra feminine; “Backstage Britannia” majors on the punk rock heritage of Camden and 1990s Acid House scene of King’s Cross; the ‘Groove Britannia’ suites have a whiff of Seventies glam rock. In plum position on the 4th floor is the Diesel corner suite with windows on two sides, French doors opening onto a balcony, textured walls, deep pile carpet and furniture by renowned Italian company Moroso. It’s very rock’n’roll.
