“Designed to have the last word in opulence and luxury. The Taj’s reputation remains intact and is now much of a tourist attraction in itself. It sits looking out to see over the Gateway of India. A timeless classic with artworks, beautiful gardens, and a world-class restaurant.”

Hotel Review

Built by Mr Tata in 1903, The Taj has hosted Maharajas and Viceroys, rock stars, Hollywood stars and Heads of State. India felt devastated by the terrorist attack in 2008, but after a two-year refurbishment the hotel emerged a brighter jewel than ever. Great interiors, significant art, total luxury and the prettiest garden and pool you’ll find in any city. Wasabi is rated one of the world’s top 50 restaurants, and there are plenty of others to choose from. Glorious.
